Sadly, Reapers are an underutilized weapon elegance in Elden Ring. In overall, there are only four in the game. But on the grounds that they can all be acquired rather early in the game, it is smooth to test them out and spot which one if right for you.
If there may be one component that all Elden Ring lovers agree on, it is that Caelid sucks. Rot-crammed swamps infested with big crows and widespread dogs the dimensions of T-Rexes? No thank you. I'd bypass it if it were not required for Ranni's questline.
But it turns out there may be an object that could make Caelid lots less complicated. Not smooth, mind you, however less difficult, and it is largely because of a unmarried item switching off those large puppies.
One Redditor just had their mind blown after discovering the Beast-Repellent Torch. "Guys, I actually have 400+ hours in Elden Ring," MathematicianHot4685 wrote on the Elden Ring subreddit. "Why did no one inform me there's a torch that repels these monstrosities?"
There are masses of responses within the comments that word the Beast-Repellent Torch's potential is printed in the call, but few word how smooth it's far to absolutely omit this Torch in any given playthrough. The Beast Repellent Torch is most effective to be had from a single merchant touched away in an otherwise unremarkable nook of Dragonbarrow, with nothing around him except substantial dogs and dragons. Not exactly a high-visitors region. You may want to without problems go the whole sport with out ever journeying.
Once geared up, the Beast-Repellent Torch can be a godsend for Tarnished looking to have a more non violent walk through the Lands Between. In addition to preventing Caelid's massive dogs from attacking, it also stops ordinary dogs, wolves, boars, sheep, bears (however now not Runebears, alas), rats, giant rats, Basilisks, and Crystal Snails from getting all up on your grill. It works while riding atop Torrent and it even works if you've got it strapped on your back while two-handing a weapon.
The Beast-Repellent Torch does NOT, however, work on bats or Caelid's Monstrous Crows. Those will nonetheless assault regardless of the flaming stick you wave in their faces. Also, if the massive canine in Caelid has crimson, sparkling eyes, the torch will don't have any effect, and the giant puppies at Mountaintop of the Giants might not be deterred through the torch whether they have glowing eyes or now not.
Check out the northwest nook of Caelid after attaining Dragonbarrow to find the Beast-Repellent Torch and train the ones dogs to stay away. Who knows? We would possibly want this torch if the upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC seems to be full of dogs.
