Best way to track phone calls?

What is an easy and possibly free way to track calls to my small business? I was looking at using a Google voice number, but I’m getting a ton of spam. Found a service CallRail that integrates with Google analytics that I was considering using but there’s a small cost.

Curious to hear people’s experience with CallRail or if you guys have other recommendations for tracking calls.
