Losing weight as a dream

I have spent my entire life overweight, from a young child through my teenage years and early adulthood. I've tried every diet, pill, and lifestyle change I've read about, and nothing has stuck. I thought about the idea of weight loss surgery, but was very hesitant and nervous. What do you think about it?
