The Madden NFL 99 Club is a time-honored tradition in the history of Madden Ratings. A 99 Overall (OVR) rating is not only the signa of an amazing player in the game, but the elite members with this title are among the best players in the NFL. McCaffrey is coming off a 2023 season in which he rushed for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding another 564 yards and seven touchdowns through the air. He won the Offensive Player of the Year award and finished third in MVP voting.
3. Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Jefferson became the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL when he signed a four-year, $140 million extension with the Vikings earlier this month. Jefferson appeared in just 10 games in 2023 due to injury but still reeled in 1,074 yards and five touchdowns. A healthy Jefferson is arguably the best receiver in football.
4. Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
Kelce joins Mahomes as the only player on the same team to be in the Madden 99 club. Kelce continues to play at a high level at 34 years old. In 2023, he had 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games. Despite the mixed reactions from fans, one thing is for certain: when the new Madden game is released in August, Kelce's player will undoubtedly be a force to be reckoned with on the virtual field.
5. Tyreek Hill, WR, Miami Dolphins
Hill used to be teammates with Mahomes and Kelce, but now he's in Miami, where he's continued to be the most unstoppable receiver in football. Hill was the best receiver in 2023 with Jefferson sidelined, reeling in 119 receptions for an incredible 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.
