Friday Night Funkin' is a fun battle game based on rhythm. You play as Boyfriend, and you want to kiss your girlfriend, but her Dad is a bad vampire or something. No matter what he is, you should be able to sing against him by hitting the right keys.
Boyfriend moves on to other stages after the bubblegum pop lesson and the angry songs about the Dad. Even though the story isn't very real, it's fun and interesting. It gets as strange and dark as games like Undertale, which clashes in the best way with the absolute bops of this game.
There are different levels of difficulty, and I'd suggest starting with Easy because it gets pretty hard pretty quickly. The first few songs aren't too bad, but once it gets going, it moves quickly. I think you're supposed to fail in the first few areas and learn from them before moving on.
You can also use the Free Play mode to practice or just jump around. I had trouble with some of the songs in the middle, and I wanted to hear the songs at the end, so I used Free Play to skip ahead. Later, I came back and had learned the skills I needed to finish the songs I had skipped.
If you're bored on the weekend, you should try Friday Night Funkin' and have a great time dancing and rapping your way into The Girlfriend's heart. If you want to get her to leave the beatbox and dance with you as a couple, you'll have to rap and sing your way past Daddy dearest.
Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game made by Ninjamuffin99. It looks like a cartoon and has music from Kawai Sprite. The fun graphics and animations were made by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r. If you miss a note during a high combo, The Girlfriend will start crying on the boombox. She's afraid of thunder, but if you calm her down with her favorite drink, Cherry Dr. Pepper, you'll get some points.
The whole point of friday night funkin game is to get better as you go through the different weeks. Every week, there are new features, singing challenges against The Father, and characters who will either help you get the girl or stop you from doing so.
