EA Play members, with the exception of random Xbox Series X/S owners, will have early access to the game. Some reported that they were unable to download, while others continued to play. As for the exact release date, FIFA 23 will release on September 30 on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition can join a few days early, on September 27. At that point, they'll be able to enjoy the game's new cross-play feature.
FIFA 23 will be the last game from EA to carry the FIFA name, as the publisher's partnership with the organization has ended. The football series will be renamed EA Sports FC, and the first game to use the brand will launch in summer 2023.
