Cities like Melbourne can cost $400 or less depending upon your requirements, important to check transport services like metro rail, then if good you can pay less to live about 12 minutes from the CBD Many young people share inner city apartments as opposed to backpacker type places as they are newer better in every way $150-$200 per week for say 4 people does the trick . Many share houses too
