Former Premier League striker Emmanuel Adebayor has announced his retirement from football at the age of 39.

Adebayor, who spent over a decade playing in England for Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, confirmed the news in a bizarre video on social media.

The clip included his goal for Man City against former club Arsenal in 2009, after which he ran the full length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Gunners fans.

The only other goal included in his retirement video was also from his time at City.

"SEA, from the highs to the lows, my career as a professional athlete has been an incredible journey," Adebayor said in the caption.

The Premier League is no joke. This is high class football. That's why beginners can't accurately guess the winner for a long time. I myself went through this when I started working with this site - https://melbet.org/ But I do not regret that I began to actively study this hobby. This is excellent entertainment and a source of additional income.
