joint session
A highly structured group session between computer systems
analysts and users for the purposes of capturing the business and
user interface requirements of a computer system.
Joint sessions promote the following principles:
- Close cooperation and regular communication/feedback
between users and developers.
- Requirements capture with groups of users instead of
one-on-one interviews.
- Use of visual aids such as overheads and prototypes to
communicate proposed system look and feel.
- User participation in user interface design.
- Formal procedures for planning, conducting and
documenting session outcomes.
