Do you shovel snow yourself if it's too much in your yard?

Do you shovel snow yourself if it's too much in your yard?
We once had to call snow plows to clear our yard so we could go outside).
Now we are thinking about hiring some kind of snow removal service.
Is there anything you can advise in this situation?

Thank you very much for your advice, you have become very helpful to me, I was really agonizing about this problem, it was really taking up a lot of my time.
