Though Sir Alex Ferguson has not yet announced when he will retire, Im sure the fans are already speculating about who should replace the Scot when he inevitably retires. As a United fan I have to say the obvious, just how brilliant the guy has been since joining, having won 24 Major honours since taking over the reigns in 1986. Sir Alex has provided many current fans J.J. Redick Jersey with the greatest memories of their time supporting the club e.g. the treble in 99 and the champions league succe s in 2007 where we beat Chelsea in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.So who would be the main candidates to take over from such a legend?..Candidate 1) David MoyesHaving taken over Everton in 2002 the fans have fallen in love with this guy, having managed to guide them to a 4th place Premier League finish in the 2004-05 season and having taken them to an FA cup final which they very narrowly lost to Chelsea in 2009. All in all Moyes has surpa sed everything that has been expected of him over the years and has built up an extremely determined and admirable Everton squad, they are a team that many teams fear playing especially at Goodison Park. A final great attribute that the Scottish manager has is how fiercely loyal he has been to the club when recently a move to Tottenham may have been on the cards ( a club who have more in the financial department) , Moyes chose to stay with Everton who have not had such freedom in the transfer market in the past.2) Jose MourinhoJose Mourinhos record speaks for itself, he has had succe s in every country he Julius Randle Jersey has managed, winning the champions league with FC Porto was an amazing achievement, at the age of 49 The special one has already won 20 different competitions including the FA Cup, 2 Premier League titles, 2 Champions leagues , Serie A and La Liga. For many managers winning just one of these trophies would have been a dream career. The only problem I have with Mourinho is that he doesnt like to stick around at one club for too long (4-5 years maximum), If Manchester United are to be sustainably succe sful we need a manager who is going to be around for another 5-10 years at least.3) Pep GuardiolaPep Guardiola was in my opinion a brilliant manager whilst at Barcelona and to be quite honest im glad hes decided to take a break! (might give everyone else a chance to win something!). Barcelona were more or le s unbeatable during the time he was manager and managed to achieve 14 honours in just 4 years, which is just incredible in itself. But to be fair with the squad he had (Me si, Pique, Puyol, Jrue Holiday Jersey Alves, Iniesta, Xavi etc) at least a few trophies would have been expected! One negative I think about the Spaniard would be that he has only really managed with Barcelona (a club he was familiar with), if he was to come to Manchester United I have a gut feeling that he may be somewhat of a flop for at least the first year but then again I could be wrong.4) Laurent BlancMaybe not everybodys favourite and maybe le s experienced in the managerial world Laurent Blanc has been fairly succe sful with the teams he has managed so far, he was very Anthony Davis Jersey succe sful with Bordeaux winning 4 trophies during his time there including the Ligue 1 title , Coupe de la ligue and 2 trophees des champions. Not to mention the way he has managed to transform the French national team from a laughing stock in the World cup to genuine contenders for the Euros in 2012 . Blanc is familiar with the club and is close to Sir Alex Ferguson and so I feel the fans would welcome the ex player into the managerial role if recommended by Sir Alex himself. These are just a few of the potential candidates that could be in contention to become the next manager of Manchester United, If you guys think of any other potential managers comment and let me know who you would like or who you feel would be suited to the role.Personally I would love it if David Moyes was to be Sir Alexs succe sor, he has shown grit and determination during his time at Everton and this is an attribute that has been integral to Sir Alexs succe s with the club. His eye for adecent signing has also been great in the past with players such as Pienaar and Darius Miller Jersey Fellaini being revelations for the club recently and in the past. Thanks for reading, let me know what you think Oh and Follow me on Twitter I only have 18 followers!!
