Lost network connection after apt-get update/upgrade

HI,

I have been running Jessie since it was released, and while I had a few problems at first I sorted most of them from kind people on this forum.
Tonight (Oct 23) I did an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade and I lost my wireless network connection (The connection icon shows eth0: Link is down wlan0: Not associated).
I tried installing a fresh copy of Jessie (freshly downloaded from this site) and successfully set up my wireless again and all was working. I then did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade and once again I got the same results.
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

My case on this issue

Just looked at the netplan config file and everything looked fine, but at the top of the file it said "configuration = disabled" (if I remember correctly, my server is currently on a Live CD)
